On the homestead!

As you all may know, I leave tomorrow morning around 2:30am from my house in france to return back home. I'm all packed and ready to go. It legit took me forever to pack because I don't have my mom's sweet packing skills. Hopefully my suitcase isn't over weight, I have to weigh it tonight. It shouldn't though. But anyways I thought I would give one last blog update before I head off back home! I guess this is it, my days in France are over.... Oh well! Back to Canada! :)

Last few days!

Since it's my last few days, I thought I would type about what I have done. Yesterday, I went for a 20km walk and if you don't believe I got a little certificate thing, I'll show you when I get home. Which is super soon! I come home wednesday at 10:30pm. I'm kinda super excited. It'll be so good to be home finally. These last few days have been taking FOREVER! Like legit, they have been. I've started packing... Yeah not going so well, I need my mama here to help me! Hopefully its not over weight! I pray to god it's not. Otherwise I don't know what I am going to do! It shouldn't be over weight. But anyways I am going shopping today. :) I know, that's a super way to spend my last few days here!

 I guess there is nothing else really to say, other than see you guys in a few!!!

yes I do realize there is a hole, its for my shoes that  are getting washed. haha

Only a few more days left!

    So Rome was pretty good. I saw it during the day, at night and under rain, the only thing that was missing was the snow. But thankfully there was none! I haven't seen snow since I left, but I have seen plenty of rain! I'll put pictures up on facebook soon ish. :) I took like 300 pictures. I bet I made you proud mama. Crazy crazy crazy I come home in like 5 days. It seems like forever to me! It'll be so good to be home again! 3 months was long enough for me. Haha Hopefully my suitcase won't be too heavy otherwise not good. I already know what clothes I am going to leave behind because I don't need them anymore and yes mom I am throwing away my black jeans with the holes at the knees finally. I told you they wouldn't come home with me. But anyways! Nothing too new has gone on lately. Sunday I am going for a 20km walk in the country here, yeah I know stupid things I get myself into. I think this is like the third thing I have gotten myself into not really wanting to do it. Oh well, that's life I guess!

    I am not really looking forward to the plane ride over here because I have to leave my house at 2:30am to be at the airport for 4:30am. This is why I don't like living far away from Nantes (that's where the airport is and I live in a town close to Laval). Anyways, I don't think I am going to sleep but I'm gonna try. I'll probably pass out as soon as I get home.  But back to my life here, its kinda boring, I don't go out, don't do much, but that's all going to change in 5 days. :D hahaha As you can tell I am super happy to be coming home to my fam jam and my friends. These 3 months have been long but they passed by so quickly. I guess that's all for now. I'll probably post another one just before I leave.

Update!

So I am done school now. :) Sweet I know right? This is going to be a very short post most likely because 1. my laptop is dieing and 2. I am leaving for Italy soon! Super exciting I know! First time going so super pumped!!! We have to leave at 11:30pm to drive to Paris and our plane takes off at 6:00am. Why are we taking the earliest plane possible?? I have no idea. I don't ask questions. I will for sure take lots and lots of pictures! AAAAHHH!! This is so exciting!! I wish you guys were here to come with me! But you're in Canada. :( I come home in 12 days! That's also rather exciting. So I had Mcdonalds for like the first time here and guess what I did!?!? I super sized it! bahahaha I'm such a fatty. Oh well I have to go now! Bye!

Owie!!

I swear I am starting to post more and more pointless thing on here. But anyways back to my point. So Sunday I ran like 6km ish. I ran most of it than my hip started hurting so I had to walk, I also did some fitness thing that's in the woods near my house. I know that sounds weird but they have a legit like course thing in there. I went with  my neighbors and my host family. Then I learned how to play petanque later that day. I would explain it to you but I don't know how to. Yeah so my legs are now killing me! To make things better I had 2 hours of gym today! Yeah that was fun playing volleyball and handball.

I just googled petanque for you to save you the trouble and it is a form of boules where the goal is, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground, to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally "piglet") or jack. Yeah that's what it said. So I hope that helps! Also I'll attach a little picture on to here too. :)

Yay, more of my somewhat exciting life!

Soooooooooooooooooooo...................... Today, I went to the laval virtual. It's basically a huge nerd fest, but it was pretty neat. They had people from Japan, Canada ( yeah I know pretty sweet, the spoke english to me!), and other places I'm guessing. :p I also went shopping today. I only spent 50Euros which is good! I got a cardigan, a skirt ( I know weird of me to buy a skirt), a necklace and teal nail polish. Pretty much all I have done today and pretty much since the last time I posted. I can't believe I only have two more weeks of school, then holidays, then home! Its going to be so weird coming home. It'll be all english, all the time. Weird... haha Speaking of english, I said the stupidest thing the other day, instead of saying I'm shocked!, I said I'm shocking! Because that how everybody says it here. I felt like a huuuuuuugggeeeeeeee tool, when I realized what just came out of my mouth.  Anyways time for supper!

So guess what I get to do?!?!!?!?

Ask you can tell with the title, I'm super excited about something! You are clearly asking what are you so excited about?? I really feel I should just drag this on and just ramble like I am doing now, but I am too nice to do that so I'll tell you. I get to go teach at an elementary school next week on friday. I get to go to 4 different classes. I'm not totally sure what I am going to do, but I'll find out this thursday because I have a meeting thing at my house with one of the teachers that is friends with Coraline's parents. I'm actually so excited to do this, and I don't know why. I just thought I'd share that with you guys. I'm actually really looking forward to this. It's going to be a good. Also I am going into a class where they are 6  years old I believe. Oh! Also This weekend I went to le futuroscope with my host family and the neighbors. It was really fun. It like an amusement park but its all different types of like simulation things. It was interesting. But I guess that's all that's new with me.

PS I just realized that it is exactly one month today until I leave. Also I had to take an english test today. It was super easy! Other than I forgot what fried was in french and its frits. Yeah stupid me, I don't even know how I forgot that. Haha

Magical adventures!

 So I know the title is very miss leading... I just really couldn't think of anything else to call this, and its the first one that popped into my head. I've noticed my english has started to decline slightly. The other day instead of saying I'm shocked! I said I'm shocking! because thats whatever one says here... which is weird. But anyways magical adventures, I guess I am going on one soon. I am going to the futuroscope, I'm not totally sure what it is. But it's an amusement park so it should be fun! Also me and the host fam jam and two of their friends went for a walk in the old Laval and went into the castle. It was pretty. I never noticed that part even though I pass it all the time. School's school as usual. I like school a lot better now since I changed classes. So today I was late, first time ever. I some how missed my bus which I was like a good 5 minutes early for but it never came. Yeah so i was late. That's pretty much the most exciting thing that has happened lately. So I guess that all for now!

Just Chillin

So I am writing you from outside in the wonderful sunshine. :) There's not a cloud in the sky, just full on sun. I know you guys are like -11 weather and still have snow, but don't worry they sunshine is coming soon!!... Well at least for your sake I hope its soon. Normally I would have school the rest of this week but I don't have to go, so I have the rest of the week off. I am pretty happy about that. It gives me time to do some homework from Canada. It's all going to be done in the sun because it's suppose to be like 18 all week. :) I'm starting to like France better because of the weather. Haha But no I miss Canada even if it's freezing cold there right now. I suppose that's all that's new with me. Nothing too too exciting. My weekend with the other kids from canada was really good. Well I guess I shall go finish my home work now.

Don't know what to call this one....

So this weekend, is more travelling!! I am going to St Malo, Dinan, and Mont. St. Michael. I’m going with some other kids from Canada, so it should be  a good weekend! I also survived my first week in my new class! :D I actually really like this class a lot better. I am with people my age, and the way the classes and stuff works is a lot better in this one.  I actually made friends really quickly in this class. Also I am my Spanish teacher’s favorite student, its kinda funny actually. So I just took a look out my window, and I am pretty sure it’s going to rain soon pretty hard-core. The sky is pretty much black on one side. Okay that’s a lie; there is one cloud that looks like that… Anyways enough about me rambling on how it’s going to rain. More about…. Something else!  What to talk about, what to talk about..!? Well I got nothing! I should probably start packing now. Miss you all!

I'm like a little gypsy! Always traveling.

So I just got home last night from Paris. I never realized that there were soo many people trying to sell you things/ trying you to sign things. Pretty much everywhere you went. Eiffle tower, Notre Dame, the only place I didn't see them was near all the fancy stores. When I was at the Eiffle tower they were everywhere. Like literally everywhere and when the police came on their bikes, the people trying to sell things would just book it across the road, they didn't care about traffic. It was kinda funny when you first see it, but then you remember that, that's how they live their life, which is kinda sad. But on a more happy note. I went all the way to the top of the eiffle tower and didn't freak out like a little baby! It's amazing you can see all of france from it. I did a lot of walking while I was there and we took the metro. Yeah I don't like the metro. Its kinda dirty and smells like a porta-potty. Also the KFC's here are a lot less greasy than back home and they also have security... It's kinda weird, but a lot of places in Paris are like that. I guess you never know what crazy you might get.

  I finally start school again tomorrow after my two week holiday. I only have 6 weeks of school until the next holiday when I go to Rome. Also I have realized that my english grammar is getting kinda bad... Not good. Hopefully in my new english class I actually get to do something! :)

Also I will put pictures up on facebook super soon! Probably later tonight. You'll get to see my room and everywhere I have been so far! I've been to the ocean, i've been to paris. Next weekend I get to go to mont st Michael with other kids from canada, So i will take some more pictures then! Miss you all!

Oh Bonjour!

This week I went to the sea. I could almost see Canada, Haha kidding of course, it’s waaayy to far. We stayed in a little trailer. Like those trailers that are in trailer parks, kinda like that but a lot smaller and not so trashy looking. We walked along the beach for quite a while. Yes I put my feet in the water even though it was freezing cold. The two days we were there it was super nice. I got to eat my lunch outside, which was weird because its march and at home there is snow and it is freezing. The beach I went to was called La Baule and we stayed in Le Croisic. It was super nice there, I’ll put picture up on facebook later. I am leaving for Pairs tomorrow. I’m going for 3 days. Should be interesting. I will post something about it when I get home. Back to La Baule, the trailer we slept in, I must have hit my head like 10 times while I was sleeping. I was not impressed in the morning. I also got stuck in my sleeping bag. Today I went to the school, because I had a meeting with the principle. I changed grades, so I am not longer with people a year younger with me but people my age.  Which every thinks should be better for me.  Which it probably is. Time to start over! But I kinda like my new schedule better because Monday 8 to 5:30 (it’s bad but I can live) Tuesday 10 to 5:30, Wednesday 10 to noon, Thursday 8 to 3:30 (9 to 3:30 every other week), Friday 8 to 2:30. Friday is way better now than it was before because in my old schedule I started at 9 and finished at 5:30. I’m excited for this now! The only bad thing is that I have to start to make new friends and stuff again. I mean it wasn’t that bad the first time, so how bad could it be this time..??? Oh well, it’s going to be interesting that’s for sure! Right your probably wondering what class I do have, okay well I have : Histoire Geographie, Spanish, Anglais Euro, Math, Gym, French, Ens. Scientifique (No clue what that is), and Histoire in English. Oh I also have etude, but that really doesn’t count as a class because I only have it once for like half hour. I guess that’s all that’s new.

Sup Canada?

So I’ve been trying to try different foods here and something’s I don’t like aka cheese, but others I really like, such as smoked duck. I know me liking duck. How weird is that? Anyways it kinda reminds me of how smoked salmon is. It’s cut very thin and it is delicious! Haha Like I’m not even joking. It’s really good, and I thought I wouldn’t like it. It looks like the picture I put up with this. Also speaking of pictures, I will put some up on facebook after I come back from Paris. So like next weekendish time.  That sentence did not make any sense at all. Oh well! Haha Guess what’s today?!? You should know just by reading that but I’ll tell you anyways, it’s my birthday!!! :) Its super weird not being home for my birthday, I guess I’ll have to survive. Also I have noticed that there are a lot of cats here. I have seriously seen at least 20 cats since I have been here just roaming the streets.  Speaking of streets, they are super clean here. Like there is no litter or anything. It’s definitely not like that at home. But I guess that is all for now!

Oh hey there!

So I really have nothing better to do right now. I'm just sitting in my room listening to music, and typing this blog. Life not too exciting around here. I have one more day of school until the two week holiday!! I'm kinda excited for it! School's been school. I got yelled at in etude today because I sat in the wrong spot. I don't get why it mattered where I sat, but whatever!!! I actually had a decent lunch today! Other than I had some bread thing that I guess I thought it was something else and when I opened it, it smelled like play-do and it kinda tasted like it  too. So note to self, if it smells like play-do then it probably taste like it too so don't eat it. I started reading my first french book here! Haha considering I read my book for english within the first 5 days of being here. It's been weird being away from family and friends for this long. Any time I go away I am either with friends or family but not this time. I just re-read this and I am kinda just rambling on about pointless things. Since I am rambling about pointless things, here's a view from my window! :) It's right up there ^

Sweet school days!

First of all I couldn't think of an actual title so it's going to stay as sweet school days, though my school days aren't so sweet.So anyways, this was my first week at my school in France.  I pretty much teach the English class, the school is ghetto (it's a ghetto prison! bahah). They still have projectors from god knows when, there is no computers in any of the class rooms, not even ones just for the teachers. Also the cassette player my English teacher whipped out the other day was literally from the 70’s. Like no joke, I almost laughed when I saw it. I wanted to take a picture of it so I could show you, but I am pretty sure I would have been eaten by my teacher.  On Thursday, my English teacher made me get up in front of the class and talk about Canada, my life, what it’s like to live in Canada and my school back home. Well let’s just say it was a tad embarrassing.  But I survived and that’s all that matters. Haha. I pretty much have no free weekends in March because I’m either going somewhere or my host family has something planned for me. It’s a good thing that I don’t have to go to school on my birthday because it is during the 2 week holiday (yes I said TWO weeks of holidays, why can’t’ they do that at home???), but other than that it’s been the same old, same old. I also watched a movie called LOL this weekend and I went to go see black swan. LOL was actually a pretty good movie considering it’s a French movie I believe. Black swan was.. was.. I don’t even know. It was so messed up. She must have developed schizophrenia or something! I understood the movie and everything but you walk out of the theater thinking WTF just happened?? But other than that there is nothing super exciting going on in my life over here. I wake up, get ready, and go to school, come home do homework, eat, go to bed and then start all over the next morning .Homework from two different countries. It’s just oodles of fun! Haha Well today's lunch was kinda gross. Kinda wish I could bring my own lunch somedays... I had some cheese, apple tart, that was the good part and then the main was some chicken or something.. and with rice that at first tasted fine but then it started tasting like cat food. I'm not joking, I wish I was! But all in all things at school are getting better. I'm slowly making friends. But anyways I have english homework to do, (bahaha it's pretty much a joke, today the teacher asked me to help her correct the grade 12 classe's test, while the rest of my class worked on something else).

First day of school!

School, school, school. That’s all I seem to be doing. We actually do so much in one day. For physique chimique I kinda already know what we are doing. So there is no point of me being there. Same with math. Already done all of that stuff. So again no point in being there. Hopefully I will get moved up a grade because I really hate whatever I am in now. I know I am all complainy (yes I know that’s not an actual word) but the truth is, school here are very different and it’s hard to adjust. Like my classes are everywhere, in and out of one building, and then the same for another. There are also so many kids at that school. There is easy 3 000 kids that go there. All of my classes have like 30 plus people in them. Which is super dumb, but I guess they have to since there is that many kids.  Like I said before schools here are very different. For example: You have to stand when a teacher comes into the room and you can only sit down when they say so. Also no gum, no phones (they have to be turned off when you are on school property), no IPods (not even when you are working), and you can’t eat or drink in the classrooms.  It’s super different than Oak Park. I actually kinda miss Oak Park. I liked our freedom of speak we had there and mainly all the freedom we had. Now at the school that I am at its kinda like the kids are to be seen and not heard type of thing. It’s very strict. Also the times for classes and stuff is super weird because on Monday I have class from 9 to 3:30, Tuesday 8 to 3:30 (sometimes 4:30), Wednesday 10 to noon, Thursday 9 to 4:30 and Friday 9 to 5:30 (shoot me now!). Also my classes change every day. Why can’t it be like at Oak Park, you have to same 5 classes’ everyday in the same room at the same time. It would be way easier that way. That’s pretty much all I do every day. I get up, go to school, come home, eat, and do homework. Mind you that’s what I did before but it’s not as exhausting. We don’t have to bring lunches to school; there is a cafeteria thing that you have to have this card that has money on it, blah blah blah. The food is actually kinda gross. I had some apple sauce, some yogurt, some bread, and rice with some kind of meat on it…??? With some sauce. It kinda tasted like chicken pot pie but a lot worse. I think I just need to give it a few days, just so think iron out because I don’t have any of my books for my classes because after the holidays that are in like two weeks, they might switch me to a higher grade. Which I would love so much to be with people my age and not a year younger. I guess I will leave it at that. I have to go do English homework. But before I go is this grammatically correct: If your car is clean, you can probably sell it more easily. ß Can you even say more easily?? Or you have to play more quietly, your Dad is sleeping. And again can you say more quietly?? It doesn’t sound grammatically correct to me.  Also sorry for this one being super long and me asking you if those sentences were grammatically correct.

Oh hello there!

So you are all probably wondering how I am and such. Well I am pretty good, other than the fact that I have a cold. :( I kinda dont like it. But anyways I kinda hate typing on this stupid keyboard so I am going to keep this one short too. I start school on monday. Guess what my first class is??? Its english! Awh yeahh!!! The school here is very very different. I would explain but its too hard. I really dont know what else to say since I really havent done anything the past few days; other than get on planes, chat it up with people I dont really know, sleep and try to figure out how to use this stupid keyboard. I ll give you just more updates when I start school.

Time to get this show on the road!

   So I just finished packing. My suitcase is 44.5lbs. A total win I think. I still can't believe that I am going away for three months to go to school in a different country. I know what you are thinking, I will miss you all very much. It will be hard to be without my friends and family for that long, but somehow I will get through it. I am hoping to keep this one rather short because I will most likely have alot more to write once I am in France and I don't want to bore all of you reading this. Anyways, back to my point. I leave tomorrow in the am time. It should be an interesting plane ride considering I will be with people that I do not know. I guess that's all for now since I haven't actually started my adventures in France just yet.
